		2008 Economic Outlook The 2008 BIA/OC Annual Economic Outlook was held on Monday, January 28th at the Irvine Marriott. With over 700 attendees, the program was a huge success. Dr. Esmael Adibi and Dr. John Husing gave their insight to the future of homebuilding in Orange County and the Inland Emipre.
		2008 Installation Gala The 2008 Installation Gala at Huntington Beach Hyatt was held on Friday, November 9th and honored outgoing President Tim McSunas, The Shopoff Group, and incoming President David Greminger, Fieldstone Communities. This James Bond event featured fabulous food, dancing, and 007-tinis!
		Tribute to Excellence: Club Spotlight Awards This year, the BIA/OC members honored their own at the Tribute to Excellence: Club Spotlight Awards. Members nominated their colleagues for any of the 10 categories. This was also an opportunity to honor those organizations who have been members for 30+ years. Were you there? Your picture is up!
		Model Home Tour The annual Model Home Tour was held at Lennar’s Central Park West site. This hard hat walking tour gave members the opportunity to see, first hand, the latest in urban infill development. The event was complete with networking, dinner and bocce ball.
		2007 BIA/OC Softball Tournament The 18th Annual BIA/OC Softball Tournament was held in Huntington Beach where 16 teams competed for the coveted First Place prize. Congratulations to C2 Reprographics for taking home the Championship!
		2007 P.A.S.S. Spring Networking Event The May 2007 P.A.S.S. Networking Event took place on the BIA/OC lawn with a Mardi Gras theme. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather and spending and afternoon networking.
		2007 Golf Tournament The 40th Annual Golf Tournament took place on Monday, May 14th at Newport Beach Country Club, Mesa Verde Golf Course and Oak Creek Country Club. Over 325 golfers participated in the event with dinner and raffle following.
		Village of Hope Volunteer Day Members of the BIA/OC, HomeAid Orange County, Habitat for Humanity, UCI students, Bank of America, Hall & Foreman and State Street Corporation participated in a day-long landscaping and clean-up day at the Village of Hope transitional housing shelter in Tustin.
		April 2007 Membership Drive The BIA/OC took place in a two day statewide membership drive. With almost 60 volunteers, the Orange County Chapter recruited 74 new members placing FIRST in Southern California and FOURTH overall in the state. Congratulations to all who assisted with this effort!
		Secretary of Education Visits BITA The California Secretary of Education, Scott Himelstein, came to Katella High School to tour the Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) and meet with students and administration.
		Economic Outlook 2007 The 2007 BIA/OC Economic Outlook had over 900 attendees listen to the industry forecast for the year by Dr. Esmael Adibi, Chapman University and Peter Navarro, Ph.D., University of California, Irvine. This annual event was another huge success.
		BITA’s Project Playhouse Construction The BITA students of Katella High School have been challenged to participate in HomeAid Orange County’s 16th Annual Project Playhouse event. Students are working with designers from KTGY Group and constructing a playhouse in the theme of LuLu’s Diner. Look for photo updates as the students continue building their entry.
		40th Anniversary BIA/OC Installation Ball The 2006 Installation Ball photos are here! This annual event honors the incoming President (Tim McSunas, The Shopoff Group), outgoing President (Tom Grable, William Lyon Homes) and installs the incoming Board of Directors and Executive Committee.
