The Orange County Chapter of the Building Industry Association of Southern California (BIA/OC) is looking for an energetic, detail oriented individual with an excellent phone demeanor to serve as the Executive Assistant. BIA/OC is a non-profit trade association representing more than 900 companies employing over 112,000 people affiliated with the homebuilding industry and the Executive Assistant must be able to function in a fast paced environment.
The Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer serves as an important “first impression” to the members of our industry, elected officials and media professionals. Qualified candidates must have excellent oral communication skills and the ability to multi-task on various projects while running the front office effectively.
Specific responsibilities include: primary phone receptionist, assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, assist events department with various tasks at events, and the performance of general office tasks such as monitoring and ordering office supplies, press clippings, setting up for meetings and many more.
The candidate must also be proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and with experience in ACT and knowledge of database management. Efficient and positive interaction with our members is important to this position, so candidate must have good written, organizational and again, excellent oral communication skills.
Position hours are from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with one to two nights a month at events. The BIA/OC is located near the John Wayne Airport in Irvine.
