Weblog / About   Welcome to the Building Industry Association of Southern California, Orange County Chapter (BIA/OC). BIA/OC is one of four chapters that make up the BIA of Southern California. BIA/OC is a non-profit trade association representing more than 600 companies employing over 100,000 people affiliated within the home building industry. BIA/OC is also affiliated with the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). An active board of directors and 9 volunteer committees, made up of leaders from local builders, trade contractors and businesses associated within the real estate industry, lead the BIA/OC in its mission to promote proactive participation in the development of complex economic and community issues in Orange County.   Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the list of leaders who will guide BIA/OC through 2012.   BIA/OC’s Mission is to champion housing as a core component of viable communities.   As the BIA/OC expands its involvement throughout Orange County, specific activities will be identified and targeted according to following criteria: • Activities that interest and impact a significant number of residents throughout Orange County. • Activities with long-term impacts and positive follow-up actions vs. one-time events.
